Kelly McGraw Browning, Psy.D.
Pediatric Psychological Associates was founded by Dr. Kelly McGraw Browning in 2006 to provide the highest quality mental health services for children, teens and families in the Louisville community. Prior to independent practice, Dr. Browning worked as a pediatric psychologist and assistant professor of pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, consistently ranked in the nation’s top ten children’s hospitals. Dr. Browning has successfully worked with numerous children, teens and families experiencing a variety of behavioral, emotional and medical problems. She particularly enjoys working in the area of pediatric mood and anxiety problems including OCD, social anxiety, selective mutism, adjustment disorders, general anxiety and stress management. She also has considerable expertise in the area of adjustment to pediatric chronic illness as well as children with developmental delay and those on the autism spectrum.
Dr. Browning received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky in 1996. She then went on to receive a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky in 2002. She completed her residency in clinical child/pediatric psychology at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri and a fellowship in pediatric psychology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. During graduate school, Dr. Browning completed practica with the University of Louisville School of Medicine/Keller Day Treatment Program, Edelson & Associates private practice, Berea Hospital and the Jefferson County Public School System. She also worked as a researcher at the Bingham Clinic/Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Browning has also worked as an adjunct professor of psychology at Spalding University and supervises advanced graduate students in child clinical psychology. She was awarded the 2009 Business First Forty Under 40 Award, recognizing the top young professionals in the Louisville area.
